[ Pdf Lie With Me ↠´ hip-hop PDF ] by Sabine Durrant ☆ Lately, books on kindle listed as a psychological thriller with a twist you won t see coming in the title have put me off This book does NOT say that but provides that A nice change. One word I use to describe this book is disappointing I love the other two books I read by this author, but this one left me feeling short changed It was very redundant with a slight twist at the end to a horrible character I would recommend skipping this one. This book is very different from most that I read but very good and thought provoking The main character and narrator is very flawed and aware of it giving little thought to consequences to others By the end he reaches the conclusion that little, thoughtless cruelties can alter someone else s life.
It starts with a lie The kind we ve all told to a former acquaintance we can t quite place but still, for some reason, feel the need to impress The story of our life, embellished for the benefit of the happily married lawyer with the kids and the lovely home And the next thing you know, you re having dinner at their house, and accepting an invitation to join them on holiday swept up in their perfect life, the kind you always dreamed of Which turns out to be less than perfect But by the time you re trapped and sweating in the relentless Greek sun, burning to escape the tension all around you by the time you start to realize that, however painful the truth might be, it s the lies that cause the real damage well, by then, it could just be too late. My T It s hard for me to enjoy a book when I dislike every character didn t care what happened to any of them The main character was despicable He was a womanizer, a liar, and a lazy conceited man with an inflated sense of self The other characters weren t much better The plot became interesting near the end of the book, but not interesting enough to recommend anyone read it.
